Friday, December 5, at 8 p.m. Sunday, December 7, at 2 p.m. The Highlands Ballet Company, the performing company of the HCBA, will present its sixth production of Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale, “A Christmas Carol,” at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol on December 5 and 7, 2008. Staged in collaboration with the Bristol Ballet, this heartwarming family fare features all your favorite characters--Scrooge, Tiny Tim, and the infamous Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Guest dancers Sean Hilton of Chicago, Jeff Polston of Boston, and Charles Haack of New York City return to lend their professional polish to this crowd-pleasing favorite, and this year’s performances feature expanded scenes and new effects to delight everyone. HBC to Present “A Christmas Carol”
Also join us for Under the Mistletoe, where you can lift a glass of cheer to get into the holiday spirit and celebrate goodwill toward all humankind! This gala reception will precede the Friday night performance, beginning at 6 p.m. Enjoy wassail and gourmet treats provided by the Troutdale Dining Room, and relax to the vocal stylings of Lindsay Blackwell as a prelude to the ballet.
